Going Away From God Is Center Stage

One of the toughest battles we all face in life is overcoming life’s obstacles. This is the case for each person regardless where you live, what the color of your skin is, or your gender. As Americans, we have it so much better than everyone else on Earth that we sometimes forget how blessed we are. In saying this, though, we have it so great that when things do go badly, we start to turn on one another in what is known as the blame game.

Once we start playing this game and I’m sure at one point in time, everyone has been guilty in doing so, we lose focus of what’s really important. This is just one trick of the enemy but it’s one of the enemy’s most effective tricks because it doesn’t take much effort for it to work. Once all logic and facts are removed for emotions and feelings, chaos and crisis are likely around the around.

We do not have to look at the world map to understand as this is on full display in our own backyard. Literally, there are multiple conflicts being raged in our country whether it’s male against female, female against other females, what is gender, all the different racial issues which are too many for me to count, and all the sexuality conflicts on center stage.

Personally, just thinking about some of these problems is exhausting me so I’m not sure how someone could actually invest so much time and effort into one or more of the conflicts without a panic attack. Unfortunately, a majority, or most, of these people are not in it not for change but what they can get out of their involvement which does not make anything better.

This is not a historical article and it sure isn’t a political message but scripture warns us about division. Naturally, there are going to be disagreements among human beings regardless of who or where you are but when the disagreements are manufactured rather than natural, we are never going to know peace or unity and this is especially true for Christians. Unfortunately, this is an even more complexing issue because we have the Word of God to lead and guide us.

Sadly, there is still much confusion and division and while the situations are completely different, the main reason is at the core of the matter: manufactured man made agenda(s). Nobody can claim with any accuracy I am against religion or even tradition but manmade religious traditions are at the heart of many problems that exists in the Christian community.

Once we get away from the foundation upon which we were built, well, the results are present within our modern world including the Christian Church: “For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life[a]—is not from the Father but is from the world.  And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever” (1 John 2:16-17).
