God, you always listen to me
Speak to me so sternly
You don’t always give me my wants
You don’t have any fronts
You are true and faithful
You call me blessed and beautiful
You provide my every need
Never failing, never mislead
You don’t tell a single lie
You are truth, in the by and by
You don’t make me question why
Cause I know you are love that will never die
As much as I need and then some
You won’t let those who deceive even get close to your Kingdom
So there is nothing for me to fear
Even when they seek to take my life here
Sorcerers in vain glory
One day they will be truly sorry
They won’t be able to twist, curse nor falsely pray
As a manipulation to get their own way
Like a toddler throwing a tantrum
Their own lies they actually believe them
Their hearts are cold and severed
Of their works they endeavored
Using your name to fool their next prey
Wolf in sheep’s clothing I must say
But, they can’t snatch one out of your hand
Even when their confusion tactics filled the land
Your sheep might wander astray
When they are lost, you get them right away
You hear the cries of your wandered sheep
You rescue them, and them you keep
Your word, your promise, the covenant made
When your precious sheep we’re played
They continued even though they saw that warning sign
Only to show them and say “But, Yet You are Still Mine!”
You pick them up and carry them back
Saving them from the enemy’s attack
Raising them up higher than their weaknesses
Covering them in holy righteousness
In sincerity, they ask for forgiveness
With mercy you forgive in tender kindness
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
