“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,
The crawling locust,
The consuming locust,
And the chewing locust,
My great army which I sent among you.
You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,
And praise the name of the Lord your God,Who has dealt wondrously with you;
And My people shall never be put to shame.Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel:
I am the Lord your God
And there is no other.
My people shall never be put to shame.”
Joel 2:24-32 KJV
God wants to restore your joy in Him, He promises to give you an abundant life with no shame, restoring what the locus have eaten. In order for you to get to that place, here are a few things You’ll need to do on the way to help you breakthrough.
In the book of Job, Job continued to lose everything but never lost his faith. (Job:13-22). His friends even began to question him because his faith made him look foolish by the magnitude of his loss. In the end God restored everything Job lost and doubled it because of his faith. If you want recovery, you need to believe it is available for you. The first step is faith.
Sometimes during our storm we begin to focus on who is laughing at us or “who we think is laughing at us” and it causes us to lose sight of having faith and pressing on. Philippians 4:8 says “ Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Mediate one the word of God, not your critics. Critics only criticize who’s working. If you weren’t working they wouldn’t have much to talk about. Let them talk about your work, you just keep working for the Lord! You must work while wounded. Job was down, but he was still doing his spiritual work.
“Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.”
2 Corinthians 13:11
God wants you to love your life and be happy. He wants you to be motivated in the things of God and to celebrate your breakthroughs. He wants you to speak well and live happy and smile and dance and sing. It’s a part of the blessings that come with living for Christ. Rejoice, The joy of The Lord shall be restored to you because it is written. Renew your mind. Keep doing your work, rejoice, and strive for full recovery and restoration in the Lord. So be it!
