Walking along a long dirt road, you come to where it splits in another direction, scratching your head, rubbing your chin, decisions, decisions.
Like Winnie the Pooh says, “Think, think, think”. Mine husband picked that up one day saying, “Think think think”, I said “Nooooah, please don’t!” Say, “Pray, pray, pray!” And he says and does that now -smile.
When you come to a crossroad, the one way you don’t have to carry your cross and will take you to what comforts your heart. The sign says: Easy Street. What will it profit you to gain the world and lose your soul?
The other way you have to take up your cross and carry it, and will take you to what will purge your heart to have to suffer. The sign says: Hard Way, to lose is to gain.
And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
