Keep your word, do or die
Let me hear your Battle Cry
Dig deep or break to pieces
But, our prayer never ceases
Our heart and flesh may fail
Yet, truth and love will always prevail
We scream victory before it’s won
Fall in emotional torment until it is done
Frustration and anger consume the meek
Yet, you carry us when we are weak
Everything working for good, it will come to pass
Your mercy and understanding no one else has
We are up and then we are down
Turn our tears into battle cries, all so profound
Let our roar be greater than that lurking lion
Scoop us up on eagle’s wings when we feel like dying
Set us up on the mountain top
Command all weapons formed against us to stop
Cover our ears from every doubt and enemy’s lie
Keep our word, do or die
Dust off our knees, back up for another try
Let me hear your Battle Cry
Burn your fire in our hearts again
Renew our minds and cleanse our hearts of sin
Restore to us what the enemy stole
Keep us in your covenant, make us whole
Our hope, our strength, our comfort
The day of harvest is near, the wheat and tares, you will sort
Keep us in all humility
Give us your eyes to see
To persevere, your army
Let a battle cry start with me
Pressed down, shaken together, runneth over
Faith moving mountains like a bulldozer
With love going before us, a great force
Of your Holy Spirit, our mighty source
Keep our word, do or die
Let others hear my Battle Cry
Numbers 24:8
God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
Psalm 92:10
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
