Be Bold in Our Walk and Faith in Christ

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.”
—Proverbs 28:1

In all that we do in life, we must accomplish the feat with sincerity and with boldness. Sound funny? The truth is, we get out of life what we put in and if we approach our battles and feats with anything less than sincerity and our best, we are only cheating ourselves and this goes for simple tasks whether it’s saving money, paying off debt, losing weight or getting stronger and for the bigger tasks such as chasing our dreams, changing, or moving up some type of ladder. In order to get something we’ve never had, we must do things we’ve never done.

If we read within God’s word, we are told directly that God is always with us wherever we go and whatever we do (Job 23:10). Because of the promises that God will always provide for us, we need not worry about things of the flesh but this is something that is rather difficult. Personally, I struggle with this very problem often in my walk with Christ here on Earth but I have seen great things come from my struggles and I will never forget what God has done for me or where He has brought me from. One thing that I have learned from people’s struggles and their battles to overcome the struggles is we overcome them through boldness.

God says if we ask then we will receive (Matthew 7:7) and if we knock, the door will be opened to us (Luke 11:9). The key factor is that we must believe what we ask for and that when we enter, it will be given to us which is the perfect example of boldness. After all, the world says that we cannot do something and the mountains that we have to climb may even convince us that we have no chance but our faith in Christ will get us through if only we believe. What’s bolder than standing up for your beliefs and convictions when the rest of the world says you are unable to accomplish what you set out for?

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
—Hebrews 13:6

In order to bring all things together, we must walk and talk with God. He is our creator, our rock, and we must trust in Him. Unlike people, God does not judge and is always listening to us even when we do wrong. More times than not, we are harder on ourselves than God is but this does not mean that we should purposely do wrong because we know that God is a forgiving and merciful God. More important than anything else, Jesus came to Earth and brought boldness to us. After all, there is nothing that is under Heaven that we need to fear especially when we have the power of the Lord.

Some of the greatest moments in history have come about because people were willing to step outside their comfort zone and do something great. The Giant Goliath was a Philistine who enjoyed terrorizing the Israelites. Time and time again we see that the Israelites were victims of something from the Philistines, especially from the Giant. The problem was, there was nobody that could stop Goliath as he was physically dominating. The man was a literal monster and he loved to display and show it.

Therefore, in all the things that we do, we should always be bold even if we are afraid, uncomfortable, or just uncertain. Being bold does not mean never being afraid but rather, being courageous enough to do what needs to be done. When we are down, just remember, God is up and when prayers go up, blessings come down!

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
—Joshua 1:9
