Most of us have made decisions in our life that have come to nought, even though we believed at the time we were directed by Elohim.
Acts 5:38 – And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
We desire to please Yahuah, walk in Truth and do his will. This is why it is vital we stay in prayer and Scripture.
Everything must line up with Scripture. If there is one thing that does not line up, we must not go. We will not be able to uphold the direction we take that did not completely line up.
Isaiah 28:10-13 – 11 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13 But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
The problem we run into when we reach a dead end is we will try and justify our decision or/and try to enforce a way, where there is no way. This is now literally blasphemy.
Acts 7:51 – Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
We then, place “sacrifice” above “obedience”, which causes us great loss where there should have been no loss.
1 Samuel 15:22 – And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
A “sacrificing” mindset will undoubtedly cause us to place a wedge in our personal relationship with Yahuah. Because, his only begotten Son came to show us it is but by obedience to do as we are required, regardless of what we would rather do.
Luke 22:42 – Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
The backward, broken, snared, and taken that happens from our “sacrificing” mindset by being disobedient in the first place is nothing less than casting our pearls before swine.
Matthew 7:6-12 – Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Truth, we end up sacrificing our own self when we are walking in Truth, by obedience. Yet, let obedience be on the forefront of our mind to see the way we are to go.
Matthew 6:22-23 – 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
We are not able to make right our wrong, but to repent, turn away and stop trying to enforce what clearly is not the way to go. In this aspect, we are truly blessed to hit a dead end.
We are given a golden opportunity to admit our err and turn from it, being led back to that wrong turn. When we reach that turn we took, we are more alert and desire even greater to get back on the path we are to go. No one likes to lose, but this loss is prayerfully a lesson learned to gain a more awareness the importance of obedience.
1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Revelation 2:5 – Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Revelation 2:16 – Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Revelation 3:3 – Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Revelation 3:19 -As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Yahuah Said:
Jeremiah 7:23 – But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
Exodus 19:5 – Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
And so,
1 Peter 3:17-20 – 17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
8 only 8 were saved. Let this sink in our minds and hearts. Again, only 8:
Matthew 24:37-39 – 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
