There are times in our lives when we battle with anger in more ways than one. Sometimes we think anger only can be between two people , not understanding it is possible to be angry at more than one person at a time. Also, we can be angry with people that may not hurt a love one of ours.
What do I mean?
There have been times I found myself holding anger and unforgiveness in my heart because of what happened to someone very close to me. Our love for one another causes us to be very protective. Sometimes overly protective.
This was my issue last year, until the Lord revealed it recently. I am always putting my heart before the Lord. I’m wanting to pray and speak out of a pure heart. Especially as an intercessor. Maintaining the right heart is extremely important to me. Not only that, but I seek to be intentional about my own deliverance and healing.
GOD WANT US RESTORED!
Yesterday morning, I had a dream that I was receiving deliverance from anger. In the dream, I thought to myself, “I don’t need deliverance from anger.” In reality, this was pride. Humility is the first step to receiving deliverance.
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. (James 4:6)
Since I operate strongly in deliverance, I have learned the keys to deliverance over the years. And area is the willingness to admit there is a problem. Not with others, but with you.
DEALING WITH THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM!
Today while spending time, communicating with the Lord, I asked Him to reveal any areas of my own heart because I don’t want to hold anything against anyone.
…AND GOD REVEALED.
The Lord revealed that I have been holding anger in my heart towards people, that did someone I love dearly and prayed against our relationship, for a whole year. Everyday I desired to get news that God dealt with them. I mean, I was over possessed about it. I didn’t care what happened to them. I just wanted them gone!
Today, I renounced and released the anger and unforgiveness to the Lord. I forgave them. Then I remembered this scripture…
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. (Luke 23:34)
My anger also came from a place of, “Why would anyone be so cruel!”
We have to understand, God is our vindicator. He’s the ONE that fight our battles. We don’t have to be angry. Although the scripture says…
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. (Ephesians 4:26;27)
I was giving place to the devil! I was giving him place in me! But, thanks be to God for allowing me to see this, renounce it, and close the door.
HOORAY!!!!
So, don’t go another day, harboring anger. FORGIVE! Give it to the Lord. He will vindicate!
Let my vindication come from you; may your eyes see what is right. (Psalms 17:12)
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.(Romans 12:19-21)
I was giving place to the devil! I was giving him place in me! But, thanks be to God for allowing me to see this, renounce it, and close the door.”
