The problem we face is not that we are different members to the one body of Christ, but that we forget what part we as individuals are. We forget to allow God to work the best out of our own self. We forget to humble ourself and use every experience, every thought, every feeling as an opportunity to self reflect. We forget to ask God to search us and know us.
Psalm 139:23-24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
If we spent our time in how we are to please God ourself, we would be less concerned with our differences in condemning or telling others what and how to do something.
The major problem with condemning someone or telling someone else what and how to do something is that we are not the same part of the body of Christ.
Each part functions differently. Each part has it’s own purpose, designated role and way to work.
Jude 22-24
And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
The next problem we face is not recognizing each part for who they are and in whom they are, to honor and be thankful we are all different and are under the same head.
Ephesians 4:4
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Fear of the Lord is understanding with trembling to not put a stumbling block in front of another nor provoke to anger, nor to cause another to doubt.Touch not God’s anointed.
1 Chronicles 16:22
Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
Why do we look at each other as if we all are to speak, move and do everything the same exact way? Knowing very well we won’t nor equipped to, nor designed to. Why do we become forceful to demand another to do exactly as we do? When we read and know each serve and bring God glory in the way he created us to work together in different ways. Such as in marriage and every relationship with order of each member. Yet, we are quick to cut someone down and out of our life as if God didn’t create them, anoint and appoint them. We are treading on dangerous ground!
1 Corinthians 12:14-15
For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
Now, misunderstandings is where God by his Holy Spirit is able to convict our very heart and clearly shown us we are in the wrong and are given the opportunity to humble and ask for forgiveness of that person for jumping to assumptions.
Misunderstandings happen, it is a part of being different parts. And the flip side, to forgive those who have asked for forgiveness.
Matthew 6:14-15
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
We can limit misunderstandings or the reaction there of them.
1 Peter 5:8-9
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Matthew 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
