As I sit and watch how thing are turning in the Church and the world, there are much deception that have risen clouding the minds of many.
Years ago, in my early walk with the Lord, I remember the Lord using those that mentored me in the faith to stay in the Word of God no matter what. The older Saints will always tell us not to eat off everybody’s table because eventually you will get sick. Now a days we see many Believers going here and there and everywhere without proper discipline in the Word of God. Many lack stability in their relationship with Jesus.
Why is this happening?
We are in an era of knowledge being increased. This is done primarily through books. Today many are writing more and more books. However, all books are not Holy Spirit inspired. Most books we see on the market today are man’s opinions and ideology cloaked with mishandling of scriptural context.
Also, many are being led astray by their favorite mainstream leading preacher. As believers we tend to believe just because someone is traveling all over the word and known by the masses then they must be teaching truth, Right?
Wrong!
If we truly discern with the light of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, we will see just how far these well known leaders have and is leading many sheep astray to the slaughter. God is not pleased. In my own opinion, I believe this come from lack of biblical discipleship. When we take a look at scripture, we see Jesus rallying up His disciples when he first stepped on the scene in the beginning of His ministry. The highlight in this passage is how each disciple had to leave all to follow Jesus or in other words to be taught. Jesus was taking them to school. Notice I said, Jesus took them to school. It was Jesus that taught them and when they was released in the book of Acts, they demonstrated the same power in which they were taught by.
This is where the rubber meets the road. Are we demonstrating what we have been taught through revelation of the Word of God or are we demonstrating deception? We must understand, what ever is not God breathed (inspired) it is deception. It is another Jesus. A doctrine that does not line up with the Word of God. I believe the only way we can prevent this continual damage is to get back to the foundation of truth, must take accountability of biblical discipleship, studying the word of God to show ourselves approved by God,rightly dividing the word of TRUTH, and leave those man doctrine books alone.
Let’s get back to the TRUTH of God’s word!
*That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and for, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. Ephesians 4:14
*Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:8
*Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
*All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
*Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1
