There are times in all of our lives that discouragement shows up when we least expect it. Throughout the day we are faced with all sorts of spiritual warfare that we cannot handle on our own. There are also times we feel as if we can take on the world including the kitchen sink if need be.
In my own life, there have been times I have gone through repetitive cycles of warfare. Warfare after warfare. Waking up in the middle of the night warring and throughout my day. Although, this may sound spiritual to the average Believer, however, this is not normal.
God steps in and fight for us when we are at our wits in. A few years ago, I found myself going and going with no rest in sight. I tried going on vacation from the day to day norm, but that was not enough. I needed rest! Rest from the fight.
This is another area many believers struggle in. We struggle in getting rest from the battle. We have made to feel as if we are not spiritual giants if we are not taking on some great principality, power, spiritual wickedness in high places, or rulers of darkness. Truth is, we are not called to take on anything spiritual without the Lord’s help. He assigns our warfare for us. He leads us into battle to wage a good warfare. The Lord tell us what to take on and what not to take on. It is when we take matters into our own hands that causes us to face defeat.
BUT I HAVE GOOD NEWS!!!
The Lord will never allow us to lose. His word tell us that we always win. Why? Because He is fighting for us. When we look through the eyes of faith, we see God going before us winning every battle we face. So, in reality, the battle is already won. We fight from a place of victory not from a place of defeat.
JESUS WON THE BATTLE AT THE CROSS! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, WHEN HE GOT UP WITH ALL POWER IN HIS HAND!”
So, once again, don’t feel defeated! God got this and He got you and me! See, yourself from the place of victory and watch God do what only He can do!
GOD CALL US MORE THAN CONQUERORS!
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.”
[Ephesians 6:10-18]
*What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
[Romans 8:31-39]
