Godly protection is something that has been on my heart for the past week because it’s an important topic as a lot of people forget about God and the protection that He provides. Sometimes, we get busy and lose sight of what has happened or, unfortunately, a lot of people only think of God when they need something or times are bad. Whether times are good or bad, He is always there with us and scripture talks about how the wolf and the lamb—one of the most vicious creatures and one of the gentlest creatures of the animal kingdom—will lie down together which is a great picture of how God works: “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them” (Isaiah 11:6).
During the 1,000 year reign, or the millennial reign of Christ, man, woman, animal and child will all be at peace with one another so Imagine if You Will feeling safe at all times even when things are shaky and living at peace with all of God’s creatures. While it may sound farfetched, it’s all possible with God’s protection. Hebrews 13:6 is a perfect example of how we are to boldly express the protection that God provides for us: ”So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13 is an excellent chapter and one every believer needs to study as it speaks of brotherly love toward one another and is a reminder that should be kind to one another as we may be entertaining an angel.
When bad things happen or we are experiencing difficult times and we sometimes will, we cannot forget about God and all that He has done. Hebrews 13:8 tells us that God is never changing, that “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” The same God that provided and protected Noah from the flood and led Moses and His people out of Egypt is the same God that provides and protects today. If He did it then then He will do it today and because He does it today, He will do it tomorrow so we cannot forget about the things that God has done for you. There are many times when we don’t understand why things happen until later or maybe we will never know or maybe it was our doing but on the other hand, maybe it was God’s way of opening up another door sometime down the road. The most important thing is that God knows and He has nothing but the best for His people if we simply trust Him and believe.
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.”
–Isaiah 11:6
