Over my life, I have known God to be a healer in more ways than one. A few days ago, I was talking to an older gentleman that was totally healed from cancer. As he proceeded to give his testimony, I was led by the Holy Spirit to share mine.

When I was very young, possibly around the age of 5, my Mom told me I suffered from seizers. I had to recall of this except for times of going to the doctor and receiving test with all these different kinds of cords on my chest. My Mom told me she don’t know what happened to the seizers because all of a sudden they were gone. I believe because I had a praying grandma, God healed me.

Years later, while in high school, I fell on both knees during track practice. I remember having a lot of swelling the next morning. I never went to the doctor. After that moment, it was hard for me to do any long distance driving or riding for long periods of time due to the pain in both knees. When I rededicated my life to the Lord, both knees was healed instantly. Now, I can travel anywhere for long hours without any pain at all.

When I was 19 years old, I found a lump in my breast. I went to the doctor for a checkup and the diagnosis was benign. A few weeks later the lump was gone as well.

There are numerous of times I have experienced the goodness of the Lord in the area of physical healing but it does not end there. I believe God is leading us to not only trust Him with healing our bodies supernaturally, but also teaching us how to maintain healthy bodies in how we eat
and exercise.

The Lord began to lead me to paying close attention to healthy eating and taking care of my body years ago when traveling. I would notice how I would catch a cold per se every time I get back home. Also, I remember attending a women’s meeting and the guest speaker was too overweight to operate in deliverance ministry. I literally watched a demon shut her down to keep her from praying over the lady there to receive deliverance. I could not believe my eyes! After that moment the Lord have been speaking to my heart and patiently teaching me how to maintain a healthy body.

Just to let you know, those pastries and chicken wings can be mighty tasty!

But seriously, God does want us healthy for His purpose. Besides, He did promise us long life but there is a part we all must play because we are not our own. For surely, we have been paid for by the precious blood of Jesus.
