Have there been times in your life that you needed a real good laugh?

Of course, there have been!

Do you know there are many suffering every single day with depression? Do you not know they need someone to come along and give them a pick them up by making them laugh? I can say over the years I have found many I have came across that needed a good laugh. Personally, I love making people laugh because the scripture teaches us that laughter is like medicine and good for the bones. Who does not enjoy a good wholesome laugh?

*A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
[Proverbs 17:22]

*Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing. [Job 8:21]

Over the years, I have seen God use me and others in the ministry of laughter. Although, some do not approve of this only because they have never experienced the laughter of God in their own lives. Unfortunately, this is why many are sick. Religious spirits will always say it is foolish and that God does not have a sense of humor. But, I beg the differ.

*But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. [1 Corinthians 1:27]

Years ago, I remember encountering the Lord this way during my quiet time of prayer. I remember being in the Lord’s presence and laughing so hard that I could not stop. God was delivering me from depression and revealing another side of Himself that I did not know. Before I go further, we as born again believers must know that God is fun. He is not that kind of God many have portrayed Him to be. He is not sitting in the heavens, waiting to strike anyone down that make a false move. He is patient loving,
and He is our Father. Now, moving on. I remember telling my grandmother how God made me laugh. It was on a Sunday and I wanted to express to my grandmother my relationship with the Lord, however, it did not go the way I planned. She instantly rebuked me, telling me there is no such thing because God is not that kind of God.

Being that my grandmother was saved, I figured she must have experience God,
the Father in this way. But unfortunately, Grandma had a religious spirit that told her she could not have fun and enjoy Jesus. How many saints do you know that is like this I know quite a few. God want us to get to know HIM. Well, how do we do that? By spending time with Him every single day in building a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit back to us for a reason. Just think, if someone was living with you, wouldn’t you want to build a relationship with them or will you live as if that person is not there? This is how some of us treat the Holy Spirit. We treat Him as if He is not there. We never ask Him questions that will help us along the way by asking His assistance in leading and guiding us. Do you know the Holy Spirit have all the answers? He can help us in all our daily affairs and not only that. He can flow through us to help others. Jesus said, that it was needful for Him to go away so that He can send the Comforter(which is the Holy Spirit) to help us. I don’t know about you, but I need constant help on this journey and if you were to be honest you do too.

The world need comforting. We all need to be comforted time to time and those around us need it too. How many times have you been around someone that was hurting or grieving a love one? How many times have you wanted to comfort but did not quiet have the right words to say? Well, once again, the Holy Spirit is the ultimate comforter and if we rely on Him, He will give us the right words to say at the right time to bring healing and comfort to those that mourn.

*Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. [John 16:7]

So, the next time someone get angry because you have the spirit of laughter, just pray for them to be delivered from that religious spirit and ask the Father to bring them to the place in their relationship with Him that they too will experience that kind of joy. We all need laughter. Especially during times of difficulty.

GO ON AND LAUGH!

I can say over the years I have found many I have came across that needed a good laugh. Personally, I love making people laugh because the scripture teaches us that laughter is like medicine and good for the bones. Who does not enjoy a good wholesome laugh?”
