When one is praising, the enemy keeps warring,
When one is wounded, a crutch is used to keep going.
Crutches are temporary, but faith is permanent,
You might plea for help and ask where they went.
Just because you love them and you were there for them,
Doesn’t guarantee they’ll be there for you to go out on a limb.
We are tried like silver, purified like gold,
Even in troubled times, we must preach courageous and bold.
All will fail us, so keep expectancy at bay,
But the LORD God, will always be there and do what he did say.
We shall suffer and affliction is inevitable,
Even without crutches, if we must walk we are made able.
A man walked up and saw two pair of crutches in a dumpster,
I said “I hope you got them out, someone might have need for.”
He said “My thoughts exactly” and grabbed them he did,
Blessings to him I bid.
Got me thinking, a heart search was done,
We won’t always be given crutches because in Christ Jesus victory is won.
So, when no one gives us a helping hand,
Remember upon the Rock we stand.
Even if we lose it all, bitterness of not being helped aint worth losing our soul,
God sends rain on the good and evil just so.
All shall see the glory of God, every knee shall bow,
Let us keep our focus on him and not question someone else’s heart, “How?”
Because, we may desire a crutch to keep going
Doesn’t mean we’ll get it, there’s times of not knowing.
Many have witnessed the shortage of crutches when they are in need,
But, hold fast to hope and faith, purple we bleed.
Be still, be confident, much needed patience of each Saint,
This life isn’t for the heart to faint.
Like crutches that are temporary for a helping hand,
This life is even more temporary, let us not be found on sinking sand.
Love them all regardless and go about our way,
Be thankful, the LORD made for us this day.
Psalms 108:1-13
1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
3 I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
6 That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
7 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
9 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
10 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
11 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
