As Christians, it should come as no surprise that we have a real enemy and it’s Satan. Satan is known by many names whether it’s the devil, Lucifer, the dark prince, and on and on. Regardless of what you call him, he is still as dangerous with any other name but many Christians are confused by this because too many have not been taught properly or just believe whatever it is they want but this is against Biblical teaching.

Deuteronomy 4:2 reads “Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” In other words, there is still a right and a wrong way of doing things and while no man is perfect, we are still to do our best. This is difficult in the world in which we live, I understand, and it gets even more complicated the more we think about different situations.

One situation that I have personally experienced from so many is that too many people are uncertain of how to logically put things together including an argument and/or opinion. This is dangerous because the enemy often puts together sound arguments that sound good to the ears but they are laced with lies. Satan does sprinkle in some truth in the midst of all the lies because he knows that he would not be able manipulate people with all lies which is why we must have discernment about us.

In the environment that we currently find ourselves in, we must be careful about what we listen to. Much of the mainstream corporate media sells the same lies mixed in with truths and too many people do not question their agenda or motive but these same people, of which many claim to be Christians, who turn around to question anything that God’s Word has to say. This is one of those things that makes you sit back and go “hmmm” as it makes me wonder if these people truly what they claim..

I’m not so out of touch that I do not understand that life is difficult and things are not always black and white. There are different things that I believe that may seem to contradict one another which is why we must discuss things in context to better understand what is at hand rather than jumping to conclusion. The same is true with that Bible. As we have discussed many times, people use certain Bible verses out of context so they are able to justify a certain behavior or belief but this is not Biblically accurate.

This is why all things must line up with the Word of God and why we should do our best to see that what we hold as truth is Biblical truth. One reason where there are so many sheep or an army of the walking dead is that people are not sure of what to believe because they have been programmed to accept just anything as truth. In saying this, the programming teaches them to question the Bible which they claim to believe and follow but this is where I am questioning their sincerity: “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” (Matthew 7:16).

This is a situation that is rampant in our country but one that we have to get away from. The church has to be more involved in the every day lives of its congregation but one trick of the enemy that is used rather well is getting people to think they can do anything they desire for as long as they want and there are no consequences to such behavior. While God is merciful and is forgiving, there is only so much that He will entertain and once we breathe our last breath, that is it and while this article is not meant to offend anyone, it was written to get people to think for themselves while they are still able to.

Scripture teaches us that God is the same today as He was yesterday and He will be the same tomorrow that He is today (Hebrews 13:8) so it should not come as a surprise to Christians that there is nothing new to God. There is nothing new under the sun and while it appears new to us, it’s been done before which is why we must take note that there is coming a time when God hands different people over to a reprobate mind. Paul speaks of two such men in 2 Timothy 3:8: “Now was Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.”

While we still have the time and opportunity, we should all discard those people and things and situations that take us away from God. God is true to each of us and He gives us the opportunity to come to Him and inherit eternal life but with that said, time is running short. Twenty years may seem like a long period of time but it will be gone just like that. As we grow older, this is probably the lesson that we learn the quickest as time is short and nothing lasts forever so rather than waking up one day regretting a decision you didn’t make, take the time to make all things right. After all, Jesus Christ is right there waiting for the call.

“Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.”
-Deuteronomy 4:2
