One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them.”
Job 1:6
As believers we must stand firm in the word of God to recognize the wiles of the devil. The Bible says ”And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11: 14). We are so use to the depiction of how the devil is illustrated that we often forget that he comes in a form of godliness. We must understand everything Satan does is a mimic of TMH God and the kingdom of Heaven. Therefore if Satan is going to come and deceive the entire world he’s going to do it through the believers of Christ, and with a form of godliness.
“ for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13) is true, but the bible also gives us further instructions “ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. “ (1 John 4:1). This is where discernment plays a major factor in who we graft in and allow to become a “speaker of the House”. The Bible says, “If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church” ( 1 Timothy 3:5). We need to see fruit and godly character in a leaders life. We need good fruit (character) to approve if the spirit of of God or not. The Bible says “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing ( John 15:1-27). God said when someone walks with Him, they will bear fruit. No fruit means no relationship with God. When we see people not bearing fruit the Bible says “watch and pray”( Mark 13:48), it doesn’t say promote and follow.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. “
–1 John 4:1
1 Kings 13:18-24 says, “The old prophet answered, “I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the LORD: ‘Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.'” (But he was lying to him.) So the man of God returned with him and ate and drank in his house. While they were sitting at the table, the word of the LORD came to the old prophet who had brought him back. He cried out to the man of God who had come from Judah, “This is what the LORD says: ‘You have defied the word of the LORD and have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you. You came back and ate bread and drank water in the place where he told you not to eat or drink. Therefore your body will not be buried in the tomb of your ancestors. When the man of God had finished eating and drinking, the prophet who had brought him back saddled his donkey for him. As he went on his way, a lion met him on the road and killed him, and his body was left lying on the road, with both the donkey and the lion standing beside it”.
This a prime example of how we don’t use discernment or follow the word of God and get hurt because we followed someone with a form of godliness. We must understand that “the gift comes without repentance” ( Romans 11:29) so we can’t go off what we see, we must follow God in spirit and in truth.
Satan had the ability to present himself to God with the Angels in Job 1:6, so if he’s bold enough to show up for that, he’s bold enough to sit in the pews at church, and even preach from the pulpit. We must discern and use the scriptures as a guide to hear Gods voice and remain safe and in the will of our Father. He’s not coming as darkness, he’s coming as light. He’s coming as godliness, he’s coming as innocence so it would be wise, to discern every spirit in this season. These are the last days.
Run well.
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.”
