Praying without ceasing is a lifestyle of continual prayer. This does not mean to close yourself in your home and pray all day. It mean to have a heart of prayerfulness and continual open communication with the Father.

This is the lifestyle God want us to develop with Him. Praying will keep our heart sensitive when He speaks. It is only when we do not have a lifestyle of prayer is when we fall into many temptations.

How many times have you fallen into the temptation to not pray?

Perhapes you have fallen into the temptation of sin. Or maybe the temptation to give up or to walk away from your marriage that God wanted to mend. How about temptation of telling that mean old boss off that’s been giving you a hard time on the job?

Whatever area you may be tempted in, there is a way of escape and that way is prayer.

Jesus told His disciples on the night of the beginning torment to His crucifixion to watch and pray. This was to avoid falling into the temptation of denial, walking away, and not being prepared for what was about to go down. I believe if the disciples were stedfast in prayer instead of sleeping, they would have been prepared. Not only that, but Peter would not been so quick to slice the ear of one of the soldiers that came to take Jesus into custody.

I remember years ago when the saints at my home church would talk about the miracles that would take place. People were being healed from cancer and all sort of sicknesses and diseases. One of the members testified about how his tail bone was eaten off due to alcohol in his younger years. The Lord performed a miracle in his life and his tailbone grew back. TALKING ABOUT A MIRACLE!

However, I noticed that the same power they spoke about was not as evident like it previously was. I asked the Holy Spirit what happened? I even asked other saints of the ministry. Few months went by and while I was sitting at my desk I heard the Holy Spirit say, “They stopped praying.” I said, “Huh?’ He said,
“You wanted to know what happened to the miracles and healings.” The Holy Spirit began to tell me prayer was the missing ingredient.

From that day, revelation began to pour into me about the dynamics of the importance of prayer. Prayer has become my lifestyle not a every now and then thing. I learned to love prayer and the one I pray to even the more...JESUS.

Having a lifestyle of praying without ceasing allow you to make those right turns while everyone else is going left. The Holy Spirit will show you things to come to escape the tactics of the enemy. WE DON’T HAVE TO FALL INTO TEMPTATION!

If you find yourself constantly falling into traps of the enemy, don’t condemn yourself. Just start making prayer a priority in your life.

Also, if you want the power of God flowing in your life constantly and in your ministry then the answer is prayer.

Praying without ceasing work for me. Now let it work for you!

*Pray without ceasing.
I Thessalonians 5:17 KJV

Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
