All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Corinthians 5:18
A few days ago I was writing music for the Lord and a spirit of reconciliation fell upon me. God placed a few people on my heart and I had a choice to make. I could either sit there and feel it or act on the feeling, so I acted on it. I can recall a time where God would give me the unction to do something but out of spiritual immaturity and fear I missed the mark, but today was different. I was determined to try. At first I was timid and afraid that I would be rejected by them, but the feeling God gave me was so tender, I knew it was worth a try. So I went to a few ppl whom I’ve had issues with and they accepted me with open arms.
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.”
Romans 5:10
I believe God was working on me as He was working on them. When He showed me spiritually by allowing me to have an unction to change the situation that was my opportunity to give God him glory through my actions. And as I approached the people I had problems with in love, God was giving them the same opportunity He was giving me, the choice of reconciliation through Him! We both win when we do it God’s way, but to do it God’s way together brings you much comfort and peace regarding the situation.
What I found is it takes two to tango. And sure once can forgive and move on without the other person’s cooperation but it’s wholesome when both parties can agree and show each other the love of God. it’s helpful knowing your brothers and sisters in Christ can humble themselves when they’re wrong. And the truth is sometimes we need to see that. We need to see reconciliation at work! God is a consuming fire but he is also gentle and the very essence of love. Without love we have nothing, without God we no love. So then go and reconcile. Do not rest with anger, do not let the sun go down feeling upset about something someone did to you. But go and try to reconcile quickly for your heart mind and soul. Be at peace with God and try to be at peace with men.
Run well.
