Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,”
Romans 5:3-4
The Bible says rejoice when we are suffering because it’s producing our spiritual endurance. How many times have we been struck in the spirit and got angry, emotional and started complaining? It’s okay to be honest with yourself. I too would complain at every hit or attack until I learned what the attack represented.
Anybody who desires to lives a godly life shall be persecuted (2 Timothy 3:12). We need to remember that verse as it pertains to our godly suffering. The enemy does not attack what is not valuable. Your spiritual warfare is an indication that you’re willingness in God, is causing satan to become fearful of you. This is a good thing. Since we know that suffering produces endurance, and only those who endure til the end shall be saved (Matthew 24:13), these attacks against you are character building. They teach you how to separate the person from the sin, the flesh from the spirit, the enemy from the vessel, they help you understand the parables of the Bible and grow and develop in sonship with the Father. They teach you patience and the fruits of the spirit. Everything is designed to turn you back to God, that’s why the Bible says You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives (Genesis 50:20).
It’s time to change your mind about your spiritual attacks and begin to discern when the atmosphere has shifted for your advancement. Goliath shows up so God can present you! The table has been set! Whenever there is suffering, there is a blessing. Every time there is a Goliath ( a problem), there is a David (you, the problem solver) , a Saul (a jealous distraction), a promise and a Kingdom waiting for you dance and praise your way into your inheritance. Your obedience during your suffering will determine the magnitude and timing of your blessing. This is why you should rejoice in your suffering, because you are suffering is getting you closer to all of these magnificent spiritual blessings. Run well.
