Regardless of how long you’ve walked with Christ and where you are in your walk with our Lord, there will always be a battle that we, as Christians, fight. No, it’s not always a physical fight but rather, a spiritual one. Ephesians 6:12 tells us “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

While the enemy may indeed use physical battles to get to us and try to change our focus, the general is none other than Satan himself. He knows our weaknesses and vulnerabilities better than we do and he does his very best to exploit them at all costs. We can recognize many of the symptoms by the way we feel or how things are unfolding. One thing that Satan hates is when we do our best for Christ and when it becomes difficult to share Christ and do what we are to do, we know that we are being attacked. We can feel it as we are literally being beat up on.

Matthew 7:16 tells us that “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” This is how we will know whether someone is real in God but the same principle applies to recognizing and spotting the enemy’s attack on our life. If being in God’s word or spreading God’s word is an obligation rather than a real desire and hunger, the enemy has gotten a hold of you. While we all need rest as we become weak, Christ should be our priority and we should hunger after him and do our very best to do as Christ has instructed us. Yes, we all fall short of God’s glory and none of us are perfect but God wants our efforts.

When it comes to God, I do not like to get political but Satan uses every system against the believers of Christ and right now, we are engaged i a war that is not only heated but it’s getting bigger and bigger daily. The state of Georgia just passed a bill that restricts abortion and there are many pro-choice celebrities that are trying to bully Georgia into changing their law. Regardless of your political affiliations, this is not one of those moves that’s left or right but rather, anti-Christian and Satan is fueling the fire.

Christ tells us to not be afraid of God’s word and His teachings and we should never be afraid of what the enemy and those around us may think when it comes to what God says. We all love movies and entertainment but when an industry is coming out and trying to get a state to reverse its beliefs that are strictly rooted within God’s teachings and Satan is using the movie industry to try to get a stronger grip within the United States.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb
Is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are
children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of
them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the
enemies in the gate.”

—Psalm 127:3-5

Sadly, people will see this political stunt by Georgia rather than an anti-Christian reaction by Hollywood. There is a lot of bad committed around this country by people of other faiths but when this happens, nothing is said about it. These celebrities and actors are nowhere to be found and this is sad because We the People—God’s children—are able to see that this is a stunt to push an anti-Christian agenda. This is in no way a political article but rather, an alert to those who are unable to see that Satan is working behind the scenes harder than he has ever before and doing so spiritually.

We cannot be afraid of what others will think of us whether it’s our family or anyone else. We must cling to the word of God even if it means standing by ourselves. When Satan knows that we are uncomfortable with these things, he comes out at harder and stronger than before. When I was younger, I succumbed to many of these situations but as we grow in our walk with Christ and in our spirits, we realize that Christ is the answer and we must continue to march on for God even if we have to leave some people behind. There is real victory in Christ and His word but we cannot allow false teachings to get in the way of real victory and it begins by being involved with God and being in His word.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil.”

—Ephesians 6:11
