Teach and Instruct All

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: “ (Matthew 28:19).

As Christians, this is our ultimate mission while here below. Give Your Witness ministry is dedicated to this and should be significant importance for every other Christian congregation and organization.

Matthew 28:18 is our confirmation: “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.“ He was not just a regular man as you see with the Pope or another pastor. Jesus, unlike any of us, had the same power and verification here on Earth just as in Heaven. This is significant for each Christian because we are not just following a whim.

In fact, we are further told in John 4:24 that “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” The Word of God was inspired a long time ago but it is still as important to relevant to us today. God’s Word, just like Christ, never changes. Christ tells us in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

As believers, we do not have to ever doubt the power of our Lord or the fact that He is always with us and if it was not so then Christ would not have said it: “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2). For me, this is very refreshing because I am around many people who say one thing but do the opposite.

For Christians, we do not have to worry about God letting us down because He has already won the battle for us. This does not mean that we will not take some beatings here below but when we do, God helps us back up and if we are persecuted for God then we win. Regardless what happens, we win but we must continue on when things get difficult.

Different times in scripture we are told that no matter what comes up or who is against us, God is there. He does not leave our side or leave us lonely and we see this way back in Genesis 28:15 with God saying: “And, behold, I [am] with thee, and will keep thee in all [places] whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done [that] which I have spoken to thee of.”

Since joining the ministry, I have learned to take the lumps as they come. Sadly, I have witnessed many people who are unwilling to do as God instructs because they do not like to take orders or instructions. However, regardless of what you do in life, you must follow some instructions if you’re going to be effective and Matthew 28:20 is a powerful reminder of this: “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.”

It may not be popular to suggest but perhaps many of the problems that our country is seeing from terrorist groups like Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and other groups out for chaos is the lack of proper training. No, I’m not necessarily referring to their upbringing as many of these members are from well to do families with a lot of money but rather, not being taught responsibility or accountability for their actions and it is obvious that a lack of proper teaching and instruction is present for most of these cases.

“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.”
-MATTHEW 28:20
