THE POWER OF GRACE

Many times we have heard the word Grace without truly understanding what Grace really is. A few days ago, the Lord reminded me about the moments of mentorship with my bible mentor. One thing my bible mentor would always talk about was Grace and how to get Grace to work in your life.

I remember him telling me that Grace is a Person (which is the Holy Spirit), I was also reminded to let Him work for me and the situation I was currently experiencing. There are times we must be reminded that faith is a way of life and not just a one time thing.

How many times as Believers, we have tried to do things on our own? Well, truth be told, we all have at some point.
Jesus clearly tell us to come to Him when we are weighted down either by life or by continual ministry work, He will show us in His mercy the way to do things so we will not be overcome by the things life can bring. God want us flourishing in every area of our life.

Let’s check out one scripture…

*Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
[Matthew 11:28-30]

In this scripture, Jesus let us know that we can come to Him and receive rest. He will in return place His grace upon us and teach us about Him as we humbly submit our way to Him. When we allow Him to do only what He can do, it make things a lot easier.

Let’s take a look at another scripture…

*Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
[Romans 5:1;2]

Here we see we have been given access by faith to the grace that has been given to us. Grace is always present and at our daily disposal but it up us to use it. Jesus is telling us to use what has already been given to us. If we are going to see the hand of God working in our lives, we must allow Him to work. Also, within this grace is also hope. Hope is expectation. We are guaranteed to receive what we are hoping for when we walk in the grace that has been given to us.

In my own life, I have seen Grace work for me in countless of ways. Especially in these last 4 years. Resigning from a career of 19 years and then leaving one state to another has been nothing but a walk of faith. I had to let Grace work for me and still allowing Grace to work for me every single day.

I encourage you let Grace work for you today and in doing so, it will make things a whole lot easier. You will be able to abide in His rest and watch Him move on your behalf.

*For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. [Ephesians 2:10]

*And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.
[John1:16]
