In this season, the Lord is speaking a lot concerning relationships, marriages, and family. He is also speaking about honor and covenant.BUT WHY?
For years we have abused our relationships with and how we have treated one another in the Kingdom. We have failed to see one another through the eyes of Jesus. When we look at one one another through the eyes of Jesus, we see each other with love, forgiveness, mercy, compassion, and reconciliation. But, most importantly, we see each other as a family. Also, over the years we have placed more emphasis on the “church”, while our homes have been divided. Although, the gathering together in a congregational setting is important, we have missed the importance of marriage, family, and relationships. We have even put our leaders over our homes more than what is scripture. For example, the scripture teaches us that the husband is head (covering) over the wife, not the leadership of our churches. God is bringing alignment to us all that we may function the way He designed.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. [Ephesians 5:23]
The other area we must take a view is the ministry of reconciliation. Jesus died so through Him, we have been reconciled back to the God, the Father. And it is our job to make amends (drop all offenses) with one another through the power of reconciliation.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.[2 Corinthians 5:17]
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.[2 Corinthians 5:18]
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. [2 Corinthians 5:19]
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. [2 Corinthians 5:20]
This is why God is causing us to return back to the family structure, breaking off all offense, bitterness, and unforgiveness. He is restoring relationships that was once broken. Whether we want to believe it our not, we are going to need each other more now than ever before. We are going to need one another as leaders in the Kingdom. We are going to have to make amends and be that light that sit on the hill.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [Matthew 5:14]
During this Pandemic, many of us are waiting and relying on the government to be source. Truth is, God is waiting for us to be the Kingdom and arise. The only real way this is going to happen is if we come together as family…AS ONE.Before Jesus went to the cross, He prayed a powerful prayer that many of us overlook. His desire is that we will be ONE even as He and the Father is one. This is how the glory of God will manifest and how the Kingdom will be able to make a lasting impact.
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. [John 17: 21]
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one. [John 17: 22]
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. [John 17: 23]
