A people too quick to call it quits
Impatient, selfish, at ends wits
Instant everything, gotta have it right now
But not willing to put hands to the plough
Speak of God, not knowing him
Unfriending, separating and divorcing
No more kindness, all demanding
Not willing to pray or wait in long suffering
Not being sought out by God alone to be approved
Loving self, easily moved
Murmur, gripe, moan and blame
No faith to be healed from being lame
Seeking to be served, entitlement
Won’t study, get a clue or a subtle hint
Not humble, have to be heard as loud as thunder
Will be quick to put you asunder
Eyes of glass, over glossed
Burning bridges that need to be crossed
Lost generation won’t you hear
Your maker draweth near
Standing naked before all to see
Won’t you be clothed in all humility
To seek forgiveness of your sins, stuck in a deep well
Grab hold of Jesus, the rope that can pull you out of hell
He loves you now, he loved you then
Won’t you let his compassion for you in
He loved you enough to die for you, he loved you first
He loves you enough to save you from sin’s curse
Receive his help, he stands at your door and knocks
He is your stepping stone made from stumbling blocks
Seek him this day, this very hour
He can destroy both body and soul, he has the power
He holds the keys to death and hell
May you accept him, for your soul to be well
Romans 10:13

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
