UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF PRAYER IN THE HOUR WE ARE IN

Jonelle Maxwell

Many times we hear the scripture, Men is to always pray and not faint.

[Luke 18:1]

Understanding the power of prayer along with the Word of God will keep us rooted and grounded during difficult times. Over the years, the Church has lost the greatest key that was ever given to us as born again believers and that is the power of prayer. Prayer does not only give us access to communicate with our Heavenly Father, but to also abort the plans of the enemy. Prayer gives us power over the enemy.

*Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:
and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. [Matthew 18:18]

God has given us power (legal authority) on earth to bind and loose heaven in the earth through prayer. We also have been given angelic assistance because we are heirs of salvation. We have inherited deliverance through the Blood of Jesus. It is through His Blood that we have been given the power and the right to access these things.

*Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
[Hebrews 1:14]

*Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. [Hebrews 10:19]

God is faithful to bring us to the understanding of prayer by equipping us with the necessary tools to cause us to be effective in His Kingdom. As we come to the place of understanding, we will find out that we will never lose. God has never lost a case and through Him, He does not want us to lose one either. WE ARE NEVER DEFEATED THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS!

* Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
[2 Corinthians 2:14]

*And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
[Revelation 12:11]

Also, God did not stop there. He also told us to put on the whole armor that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. In other words, God said, “Put ME on!” When we put on Christ, the devil does not stand a chance. The enemy will then be fighting against God, therefore, it is God that fights the battle and not we ourselves. This is good news! This is the Gospel! The good news is that we don’t have to fight alone in prayer but we have assistance. Know, the whole heavenly host is backing us 100 percent!

*Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[Ephesians 6:11]

Remember, just because things are happening aroung us, it does not have to happen to us when we understand the power of prayer.

This is the Gospel! The good news is that we don’t have to fight alone in prayer but we have assistance. Know, the whole heavenly host is backing us 100 percent!”
