People are so quick to trip and fall from their emotions. People get “mad” when they have things withheld and/or taken from them from someone or from something.

Facebook shuts down, or your spouse no longer does what he/she has always done. How did that make you feel? Where did your thoughts go? How did you react?

We must remember, not only are we set apart, we must stay mindful to set our spouse apart or others apart from those influencing spirits. Not easy, we want them to love us and expect to be loved by them we want what we put in. But, remember the parable of the workers Matthew 20. It doesn’t seem fair but we accepted, signed up, vowed and agreed. Can two walk together less they agree? And, I’m not just talking with a spouse. The day we decided to follow Jesus, we made a vow, to walk together in agreement with him.

Oh that lowly walk with the lowly ain’t the funnest but, it will bring the biggest reward as a whole. The entire field of earth shall be reaped with a harvest and feast for all to enjoy. Marriage supper coming, it’s rehearsal time!

We all love to receive but when we get dependant on something more than God, we have been feeding our flesh and it has become an idol. This becomes a huge imbalance for our walk with the LORD and eventually will make us tumble and fall.

Proverbs 11:1
A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.

Proverbs 11:2
When pride cometh, then cometh shame:
but with the lowly is wisdom.

But, we have been called to be wise, be watchful, lowly in great measure, more than our tops. Imagine us as weeble wobbles. “Weebles wobble, but they don’t fall down”!

Peter 3:17
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

We need to be thankful for the time someone or something blessed us with something we enjoy as if they won’t be able to again to not expect to always receive. Everything here is temporary, everything is for a time and a season.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

We must live in the moment, a grateful heart knowing others or things can only give so much. But, to thank God for the times we receive whatever it is because, it won’t last forever and it won’t ever be enough.

But, people get mad when their supply or benefit runs out and go to look somewhere else.

God gives and takes away too, do you get mad at God and stop going to him too? Selah

Job 1:21
And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

Hebrews 12:11
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Luke 9:62
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Let us not put others and things in a position they can’t stay in. John the Baptist gives us this fine example of giving and receiving:

John 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.

1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
