All that has breath shall praise the Lord.“
Psalms 150:6
If you’re like all of us, you’ve ponder on what your purpose is in life. We often think, just because God is doing something great within us, our purpose must be in bright lights for all to see. But what about the small things in life that mean everything? What about the secret giving that is rewarded openly? (Matthew 6:4) Like the trees that give us air. They too praise the Lord, living in their purpose which is to clean and supply us with oxygen. Or the honey bee. Who’s purpose is to get pollen from flowers to bring back to the honey comb to make one of the only foods in the world that does not expire over time; honey. If plants and animals are living in their purpose and praising the Lord, so should we.
The kingdom God needs advocates everywhere. That’s why you need to know your purpose is in your everyday living. We are to praise the Lord through all things and glorify His Holy name. (1 Thessalonians 5:8) That means believers of Christ should be everywhere. The next judge, police officer, lawyer, doctor, politician, athlete, nanny, grocery store cashier, mega church leader, small hometown church leader, what ever you do for a living, you must remember to live in your spiritual purpose. Praise the Lord. Testify, give wisdom, show love, express kindness. That’s how you live in your purpose. You show expressions of the love of Christ towards others. When you do that, you’ll remember that your purpose meets you everywhere.
God is omnipresent and when the student is ready the teacher will appear. Your maturity in Christ propels you into your purpose in Christ. Stop worrying about what you’re supposed to be doing in life without your identity in Christ. Go be developed and cultivated in God first. Then, He will reveal your assignments in life. Remember what you do for a living is not your purpose in life, it’s how you sustain your lively hood. How you sustain your spirit is what matters most. Run well.
