The power of a testimony speaks volumes to a struggling ear. Many times we are so embarrassed to get in front of others and tell what we use to do, but it’s empowering those who are watching and needing the hope that God can still use them. Think about when you were still in the world, and the many misconceptions you had about God. Those people don’t have a relationship with Him yet, they only know what they heard about. And when you speak your testimony they will hear about God through you. Christ left us the free gift of the Holy Spirit. When we speak and perform the word of God others begin the see our Father through us. It is our purpose to spread the good news. The light at the end of your tunnel is the vision we all hope to have for ourselves. That’s why your story is so important.
Many people feel if they’re not popular or “Beyoncé” they’re not valuable. But you don’t have to be a superstar to be valued. A “ stay at home mom” can give wisdom on transition, patience, and self control. Her life at home with a baby is teaching her much more than the ABC’s, she’s learning how to read signs of people and develop a nurturing spirit. A nurturing spirit that all of us need every now and again. We are all connected in the body of Christ. We are looking to each other for wisdom, love and kindness. Our testimonies can bring us closer together as a family, to know that we all came from somewhere and we overcame for love.
When we walk in Christ, we walk in freedom. No condemnation for those in Christ! The old you has passed away! That’s what we believe and what we teach. But to be free completely means to tell it all, because God can carry the load. There is no burden to small of great for Him. I’m not saying get on the internet and tell everyone your business (lol). I’m saying when God sends you someone you know is battling with something you’ve secretly overcome, you need to speak your truth to set them free. After you’ve done that, you will realize by speaking your truth that you are now truly free.
The enemy, Satan, loves secrets. He knows if you’re hiding something that you’re ashamed of, he can hold it against you. Now when you speak and success comes, here come his agents. Digging in your past. Googling you, reading tweets from 7 years ago to try to implicate you now. Even though you’re free in Christ and that old man has died all the sudden you’re being attacked because your not so clean past is being exposed. These are tricks of the enemy. But when you come out by the power of your testimony in the beginning with your own story of how you did that but now you do this…the enemy can’t expose you and control the narrative. He can’t manipulate the minds of your peers about you. He will come to the people with an accusation about you and the crowd will yell “he/she already told us that, but they’re free in Christ now”. There’s nothing for the devil to expose when you expose yourself. What the devil means to harm you God will always turn it around for your good. Renew your mind about your testimony today and go out and speak the good news. Run well.
