You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?
Galatians 5:7
I wanted to take the time to encourage you to follow through in the face of adversity, rejection and opposition. Often times we have no choice but to be in a environment that can potentially hinder our growth if we do not recognize the warning signs and protect ourselves mentally and spiritually.
Many times our family members and friends speak words of death over our dreams and goals intentionally and unintentionally. If we are not careful to follow the blueprint God has laid out for us, we will end up listening to unqualified counsel and poor advice. Poor advice and unqualified council has one outcome, failure.
You need to be poured into while your gift is still in seed form. The Bible says, some plant, Apollo’s water’s and God gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6-8). That type of mentorship or coaching can only come from someone who has succeeded in the area that you are trying to master, therefore, making them qualified counsel. You cannot continue to go to a person for advice in an area that you have never witnessed them be personally successful in. If they knew the answers, their life and personal situation would be better than what it is. Therefore, when you are seeking wisdom, you need wise counsel. If you don’t have someone that you personally know that can pour into you, you’ll have to do with most of us did. We adopted mentors and teaches from afar, teaching ourself how to do things through people that are teaching us online and through Books. All I’m saying is, where there is a will, there is a way. No excuses.
It is a very normal and natural thing to get excited once you have had an experience with the Holy Spirit and are ready to shift your life and make positive changes. One of the very first thing you do is usually pray and come up with an idea. Like most people, once you’ve come up with an idea you cross reference within your network to see if the idea is good or not. That normally requires you calling a close family member or friend, someone that you trust.
But what if the people whom you call and share your great ideas with always seem to have a negative response or try to discourage you with a spirit of doubt from pursuing these dreams and goals? Do you listen, and quit? Do you allow their perception of things to kill your dreams and ideas? Absolutely not! You have a mandate on your life to endure to the end. And if God has placed it in His will for you to go forth in anything, the enemy will send discouragement, but God will send provision.
Allow the negative comments that you know are meant to hinder you, fuel you. Let it be confirmation that the idea was anointed, and the enemy does not come to steal from an empty vault. Remember Satan comes to kill steel and destroy. If he can kill your dreams, steal your joy, destroy your confidence in the things God said He will do for you, then he wins. Often times the enemy will use the people we love the most to say things that will try to kill what God has placed inside of us to plant and water. But I came to remind you of who you are and your pre-destined inheritance that Christ has left you. You can and you will. And often times in the very beginning of great projects and ideas, the momentum mirrors failure because it is still in seed form. You must plant, water and allow the breakthrough to happen during the harvest season of your life. Great things sometimes take time. Stop calling them and telling them your dreams and goals, and get to work. The only yes you need in this season to be successful is a yes from God. Never allow other peoples comments or energy to hinder you from running well.
Keep going.
