Remember Love

love

Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.

Matthew 24:12

The Church has been criticized in the past for being too harsh with people, and often times that has been overlooked. This is because Satan is an accuser of the brethren and many times the church is under attack and falsely accused. But the Bible is describing a massive lack of love among the land, and it is clear that we are in the last days. The Bible says A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight (Proverbs 11:1). This means leadership and brethren both need to go back to the basics and renew their minds about the love of Christ.

The lack of love within the body of Christ and by leadership is causing the flock to be led astray even more and God is trying to bring us to a place where we renew our minds in the foundation of Christ and relearn some of the basic lessons we need for conflict resolution. Yet, the church is continuing to thrive and maneuver from a place of brokenness and hurt. We cannot heal or graft and others in until we are with God in spirit and in truth ourselves.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

God wants us to rest (meaning let it go) and restructure our foundation. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; ( Psalms 34:19). You will have troubles and turbulent times but the Lord will see you through. The Bible says “anybody who desires to live a goodly life shall suffer persecution” ( 2 Timothy 3:12). That means being slandered and talked about is a part of the call, but that does not mean we get to act on our brokenness when we are being persecuted by those who lack the truth.

We must be the example of love for ourselves and others. Christ Left us with the free gift of the Holy Spirit, and we have the mental fortitude and spiritual capacity to overcome any obstacle that stands in our way. We must tap into the the spiritual realm, and walk in the freedom of Christ even under fire. We must keep our eyes on the task (spiritual assignment) at hand and have tunnel vision in order to be successful. When the world lacks love, we need to tunnel vision and mediate on God’s love. When people lack truth, we must lock in with love and teach them God’s truth. We must move with grace and poise. We must remember the lessons or Father taught us in His word, and not just follow what we see “godly” people doing. God is calling us higher in the realm of love and kindness. And tho the love of many has turned wax cold, we must be the only few who continue carrying the light of Christ because it is what we signed up for.

Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage–with great patience and careful instruction.

2 Timothy 4:2

When dealing with people who lack love, and lack the truth, the Bible instructs us to continue to preach the word of God in and out of season with great patience and careful instruction. Meaning do it like you love it, treat them like you love them. There was once a time when you were lost and not in truth, you didn’t need harsh criticism but you needed the love of God to show you the way. When you see them, remember yourself, and be what you needed someone to be for you when you were lost. Pay it forward, bless others with love and encouragement. God is calling us to bring healing through His word and through His spirit. When we do this, we call the lost children home. And the Bible says God wishes for no man to parish, so it is our job to serve them with, in, and through love.
